On Saturday, a 48-year-old man was brutally stabbed to death in a road rage incident in Nagpur's Kapil Nagar area. The victim, Pintu Rajput, was returning home from a picnic at Mansar with his friend Rajesh Orekar when their car struck a parked e-rickshaw near a water tank, causing some damage.
The e-rickshaw owner confronted Rajput, which led to a heated altercation. Suddenly, a group of eight goons, including individuals identified as Harshal, Tabba, Lucky, and Rabha, appeared and attacked Rajput and Orekar. During the clash, Orekar managed to thrash one of the assailants, Harshal Kuthe, which angered the gang. They then pinned Orekar down and attempted to kill him.
When Orekar tried to escape, the assailants chased him and repeatedly stabbed him with a knife in a brutal assault. Rajput was rushed to Mayo Hospital, where he was declared dead. Orekar survived the attack and filed a complaint, leading to the arrest of Harshal, his brother, and a minor for their involvement in the murder.
The tragic incident highlights the dangers of road rage and the need for better conflict resolution on the roads. Authorities are investigating the case further to ensure justice for the victim and his family.
