Deadly Domestic Dispute Ends in Tragedy in South Gate

On November 12th, 2025, a tragic domestic violence incident unfolded in South Gate, California, leaving three people dead and one injured. According to authorities, South Gate police responded to a call around 2:27 a.m. from a woman reporting a man inside her home who was shooting a gun.
When officers arrived, they encountered the male suspect, who was armed and opened fire on the officers. An officer-involved shooting then occurred, and the suspect retreated back into the home. Additional gunshots were heard from inside the residence.
Upon entering the home, officers discovered three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Two women, one 25 years old and the other in her 50s, were declared dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department officials. A third victim, a woman in her 70s, was extracted from the home and transported to a nearby hospital, where she is reported to be in stable condition.
The suspect, a man in his 50s, was later found dead inside the home from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigators have determined that the suspect and all three victims were related, and the incident appears to be domestic violence-related.
A firearm consistent with the one used to shoot at the officers was recovered from the scene. No other injuries were reported during the incident.
