Deadly Diwali Dispute: Firecracker Fight Turns Fatal in Junagadh

On Tuesday morning, a tragic incident unfolded in Junagadh as a 28-year-old vehicle dealer was murdered in the presence of his friends. The altercation began when the deceased, Divyang, and his friends were bursting firecrackers near a paan shop close to their house. This angered the Barad family, who were also celebrating Diwali near their apartment, and they started throwing firecrackers in Divyang's direction.
The argument soon turned violent, and members of the Barad family allegedly attacked Divyang with blunt and sharp weapons, inflicting serious injuries on his shoulder and other parts of the body. Divyang succumbed to his injuries shortly after the assault. Two of Divyang's friends who tried to intervene were also assaulted during the melee.
Pushpa Chudasama, Divyang's mother, has filed a complaint at the Junagadh City C Division Police Station, naming Ram Barad, his wife Jayashri, their son Ramshi, Raju Hun, and Keval Joshi as the accused. The police have arrested all the accused and are investigating the matter further.

This tragic incident has marred the Diwali festivities in Junagadh, with four separate cases of rioting, assault, and murder registered across different police divisions of the city due to firecracker-related disputes.
