Daycare Worker Charged with Child Abuse, Deleting Evidence

A daycare worker with two decades of service is facing serious charges following allegations of child abuse at Little Lambs Daycare in Lansdale. Daniel Riley, an assistant director, has been charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children, and tampering with evidence, among other offenses.

Reports indicate Riley engaged in abusive behaviors including stepping on a child's foot, dragging another child across the floor, and prolonged timeouts. A teacher at the facility provided evidence, including photos and videos, of these alleged incidents.

Further investigation revealed that security footage from the preschool room, where the alleged abuse occurred, had been deleted. Riley is accused of using his personal phone to erase approximately 58 records from the camera system, apparently to conceal his actions.

The incidents came to light after parents reported injuries and concerning incidents involving their children. Riley has reportedly denied some allegations, claiming certain actions were unintentional or that he lost track of time during timeouts.
