Dating App Scammer Caught Red-Handed Again

Adva Lavie, 28, also known as Mia Ventura, faces renewed legal scrutiny after her arrest in Beverly Hills on Tuesday night. This arrest stems from a theft charge in Riverside County and occurred while she was allegedly violating a court order. Lavie is currently awaiting trial on six felony counts, including grand theft and residential burglary, for a sophisticated scam.
Prosecutors allege Lavie used dating apps to build relationships with wealthy individuals between 2023 and 2025. She would pose as a girlfriend or travel companion to gain entry into their homes, subsequently stealing cash, gold, and luxury items. The alleged incidents took place in Westlake Village, West Hollywood, Los Angeles, and Beverly Hills.
Evidence in the case is substantial enough for a jury trial, with Lavie pleading not guilty. Her alleged activities have also reportedly extended beyond Los Angeles County, with police reports filed in Nevada, Florida, France, and Italy. Lavie is currently out on electronic monitoring and is prohibited from contacting victims. Her fiancé, Stephen Cloobeck, has also been involved, facing charges for attempting to dissuade witnesses.
