A major darknet-based drug trafficking network, operating under the name Team Kalki, has been dismantled by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). This network was responsible for sending more than 1,000 parcels of narcotics to various buyers throughout India between January 2025 and March 2026. The group utilized dark web forums like Dread for sales and encrypted messaging apps for communication, maintaining a discreet and wide-reaching operation.
The partnership behind Team Kalki was formed by Anurag Thakur and Vikas Rathi during their time in Delhi's Tihar Jail. Following an extensive three-month surveillance, the NCB conducted a successful operation in Delhi. This operation led to the seizure of a significant quantity of drugs, including LSD blotters, MDMA tablets and liquid, charas, and amphetamine, sourced from vendors in the Netherlands, Poland, and Germany.
