A convicted rapist described by a judge as among the nation's most dangerous sex offenders has been sentenced to life imprisonment for a heinous attack on a teenage girl. The assault took place in Blackpool in June 2025, shortly after the 52-year-old offender was released from a 21-year sentence for child rape.
The predator followed his victim from a town centre bar, pursued her home, and dragged her into an alleyway for the attack. The victim's courage in fighting back and seeking help from a nearby house, combined with chilling CCTV footage, were pivotal in his conviction. He was found guilty of kidnap and sexual assault.
During the sentencing at Preston Crown Court, the judge highlighted the chilling nature of the CCTV evidence. The offender also breached two previous sexual harm prevention orders. He will not be eligible for parole for at least eight years, a decision reflecting the severity of his crimes and his history as a dangerous sex offender.
