Dalit Teen Killed in Caste-Based Attack in Noida, Four Arrested

In a tragic incident, a 17-year-old Dalit boy named Aniket has died after being brutally assaulted in Noida earlier this month. The attack also left Aniket's uncle Sumit injured.
According to the police, two more suspects, Ankit and Rachit, have been arrested in connection with the assault that took place on October 15th. This brings the total number of arrests in the case to four. The victims had gone to Syed Pokhar to celebrate Aniket's birthday when they were allegedly attacked by a group of 10-12 men armed with iron rods and sticks.
The FIR lodged by Sumit's brother states that the attackers hurled caste-based abuses at the victims and also snatched Sumit's mobile phone and gold chain before fleeing the scene. Aniket sustained severe head injuries and collapsed on the spot, while Sumit managed to escape. Both were rushed to a hospital in Greater Noida and later referred to a Delhi hospital, where Aniket succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment in the ICU on Friday.
The police have registered a case under various sections, including murder, rioting, and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The investigation is ongoing, and the authorities are working to ensure justice for the victims and their families.
