12 Feb
Summary
- Father refused to leave his 3-year-old son with armed home invaders.
- Suspects impersonated law enforcement to gain entry into the home.
- Two suspects have been arrested and charged with home invasion.

A terrifying home invasion in Gwinnett County saw a father confront armed suspects who falsely identified themselves as police executing a search warrant. The father, who was in bed with his 3-year-old son, refused demands to leave the child with the intruders, stating they would have to shoot him first. The suspects, masked and armed, had already forced their way into the home and were holding the father's three other children at gunpoint.
The gunmen spent approximately 20 to 30 minutes ransacking the residence, making off with cash and electronics. The family expressed bewilderment over being targeted, suspecting misinformation led the assailants to their home. Following an investigation, authorities arrested Samuel Baxter and Devin Bowers, both 23 years old, on charges including home invasion, kidnapping, armed robbery, and aggravated assault. They are currently held without bond.
