Singer David Burke, known professionally as D4vd, is the subject of a Los Angeles County grand jury investigation concerning the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Court documents obtained by The Associated Press revealed subpoenas issued on January 15th, naming the Houston-born singer as a target potentially involved in murder offenses.
The grim discovery occurred on September 8th, when the girl's decomposed body was found inside a 2023 Tesla Model Y. The vehicle had been towed from an upscale Hollywood Hills neighborhood. Investigators described the scene within the Tesla's front storage compartment as a cadaver bag covered in insects, emitting a strong odor.
Further details from the documents indicated that the body was severely decomposed, with arms and legs severed. The victim, identified as Celeste Rivas Hernandez, was reported missing in 2024 from Lake Elsinore. Authorities state her age was 14 when killed.
While D4vd's representatives have not commented, the investigation has continued. Subpoenas for three of his relatives to testify in Texas were upheld by a judge. D4vd gained popularity via TikTok with his hit "Romantic Homicide" before signing with major record labels and embarking on tours.
