Teen's Blood Found in Singer's Garage

Blood discovered in the garage of David Anthony Burke, known as D4vd, has been identified as matching the DNA of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. This evidence was presented by an LAPD criminalist during a preliminary hearing. Hernandez's remains were subsequently found in the front trunk of Burke's Tesla on September 8, 2025.

Prosecutors allege that Burke, now 21, murdered and dismembered the runaway teen in his Hollywood Hills garage on April 23, 2025. He is charged with murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, and unlawful mutilation of human remains. Testimony indicated that blood was found on various items, including a mat, tarp, and rowing machine, all consistent with the victim's DNA. A trash bag contained wipes with her DNA.

Further evidence presented concerned the victim's soiled clothing, found in poor condition with a strong odor. Prosecutors claim Burke killed Hernandez after she threatened to expose their relationship and damage his career, just days before his debut album's release. He allegedly purchased tools, including chainsaws, to dismember and dispose of her body parts, which were found in garbage bags and a cadaver bag in his impounded vehicle.
