David Burke, 21, professionally known as D4vd and celebrated for creating the Fortnite anthem, has been arrested. He is linked to the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, a 13-year-old girl whose body was found in the trunk of his Tesla. This discovery occurred in September, the day after her 15th birthday.
Ms. Rivas Hernandez had been reported missing on April 5, 2024, from Lake Elsinore, California. Her remains were found when authorities investigated a foul odor at an impound lot where Burke's Tesla had been towed on September 5.
Burke, who gained fame with his song "Romantic Homicide," had been touring internationally. His manager had been leasing a home in Hollywood Hills, where police served a search warrant in connection with the case. The arrest was announced on April 16.
