Cubans Arrested in Mexico for Drug Dealing

In Toluca, State of Mexico, two Cuban nationals were apprehended by local law enforcement on suspicion of involvement in street thefts and drug dealing. The suspects, identified as Wilber "N" (27) and Jordan "N" (23), were tracked using the city's surveillance system. Authorities had been investigating them for allegedly using a motorcycle to rob pedestrians and distribute drugs in the area.

During the apprehension near Science Founders Park, officers found ten bags of suspected marijuana, with each suspect carrying five in their backpacks. The individuals were handed over to the State of Mexico's Office of the Attorney General of Justice. They were then placed under the jurisdiction of the National Institute of Migration for an assessment of their immigration status.

This incident follows similar apprehensions of Cuban nationals in other Mexican locations. In September, a Cuban was arrested in Sinaloa with four Colombians and seized firearms. In August, another Cuban was detained in Cancún with numerous doses of illicit substances. Additionally, a 33-year-old man was arrested in Cancún for drug dealing and thefts, and in late June, seven Cubans were captured in Holbox.
