Alyson Cranick, a 44-year-old Connecticut woman, has pleaded guilty to federal charges for coercing and enticement of a minor. Between the summer and fall of 2022, Cranick used digital platforms like text messages, Snapchat, and Discord to engage an 11-year-old boy in sexual conduct.
Prosecutors revealed that Cranick supplied the boy with caffeinated beverages to keep him awake during the assaults, which occurred late at night. She would drive him to various locations, including a local school, and abuse him in her car on at least 14 occasions.
Cranick, formerly a school employee, faces a federal sentencing on February 12, with a potential sentence of life imprisonment and a minimum of 10 years. Her state-level charges are still pending.
