Enrico Ronquillo, 38, received a 53-month prison sentence on June 17, 2026, following his conviction for identity theft and fraud. He used stolen personal information of U.S. citizens to board the Discovery Princess cruise ship in Seattle. Ronquillo's objective was to enrich himself at the ship's casino.
When authorities boarded the ship in Juneau, Alaska, on May 14, 2025, they discovered fraudulent documents and considerable cash in Ronquillo's possession. He had also used stolen credit card information to obtain funds at the casino. Ronquillo pleaded guilty to false impersonation and aggravated identity theft charges.
In addition to his prison sentence, Ronquillo must pay over $25,000 in restitution. His attorney indicated a history of fraud linked to methamphetamine abuse, though he reportedly achieved sobriety during a prior incarceration. Deportation proceedings are expected to follow his sentence.
