Summary
- A CRPF constable and his wife are accused of severely beating a 10-year-old girl.

- The abuse came to light after the constable's superior reported the incident to police.

A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable and his wife were arrested on January 18, 2026, for allegedly inflicting severe injuries upon a 10-year-old girl. The couple, Tarik Anwar and Rimpa Khatun, are accused of assaulting the child at their government residence in Greater Noida.
The victim, who is a relative of Rimpa Khatun, was allegedly subjected to repeated beatings for minor infractions. A severe assault occurred on the night of January 14-15, leaving the girl critically battered. She was initially taken to Sarvodaya Hospital but discharged by Constable Anwar on January 15 due to alleged financial concerns, despite hospital recommendations for intensive care.
Currently receiving treatment at Max Hospital, the girl suffers from multiple rib fractures, extensive scarring, torn nails, and swelling around her eyes. Her critically low hemoglobin levels suggest prolonged neglect. The incident was brought to the attention of authorities by the constable's supervising officer, who filed a complaint for grievous abuse, child labor, and trafficking.
