- Clinic disputes report, claims life-saving measures were taken.

The husband of a woman who died after a cosmetic surgery procedure at a Miami clinic is demanding answers following the release of emergency response records. Kenly Millan Aponte, 35, a mother of two who traveled from Kentucky for a "mommy makeover," was found in cardiac arrest on an operating table by Coral Gables Fire Department paramedics.
The patient care report noted several concerning issues, including a delay in patient contact due to a slow elevator and the absence of CPR or AED pad usage by clinic staff. Paramedics also stated that clinic personnel could not provide the exact time Aponte went into cardiac arrest.
While the clinic, Svelta Plastic Surgery, disputes parts of the report, asserting that advanced life-saving measures were initiated prior to the arrival of emergency services, the patient's husband remains determined to seek justice. He stated his wife did not die of natural causes, and his attorney is awaiting the medical examiner's report to potentially file a lawsuit.
The circumstances surrounding Aponte's death are currently under investigation. The Miami-Dade Medical Examiner's office is expected to release its findings, which will be crucial in determining the next steps in the legal process.
