The bodyguard for Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, known as Mike King, was identified as Diamon-Mazairre Robinson. He was reportedly under federal investigation for allegedly impersonating a police officer.
Between 2009 and 2012, Robinson was arrested numerous times, with seven theft charges listed among them. While his convictions resulted in fines and probation, he reportedly never served jail time. Some officers allegedly placed by Robinson's company claimed he presented himself as a detective with the U.S. Capitol Police.
Robinson was recently pursued by SWAT officers in Dallas. He reportedly barricaded himself in a vehicle in a hospital parking garage. Officers used tear gas to dislodge him, after which they state he produced a weapon and was fatally shot by police.
