Columbus police are actively searching for a suspect in the double homicide of Spencer and Monique Tepe, a dentist and his wife. Officers discovered the couple deceased from apparent gunshot wounds after responding to a welfare check at their Near East Side home on December 30th. Crucially, their two young children, a toddler and a preschooler, were found inside the residence unharmed.
Investigators have stated that no weapons were found at the scene and there were no signs of forced entry. Coworkers had initiated the welfare check when Spencer Tepe failed to appear for work at a dental clinic. Police are now appealing for any digital evidence, including photos or videos, that might depict suspicious individuals or vehicles in the vicinity between midnight and 9 a.m. on the day of the incident.
