Parolee's Rampage Kills Four, Suspect Dead

A devastating head-on collision on a Colorado highway, allegedly caused by a carjacker out on parole, resulted in five fatalities, including the suspect and four innocent victims. Walter Huling, 31, identified as the suspect, died at the scene after crashing a stolen vehicle into a family's car. The crash claimed the lives of father Alvin Corado, his two children MaKenlee and Toretto, and 12-year-old Jase Green. Corado's 13-year-old daughter Mia and Green's 14-year-old brother Jordan survived and were hospitalized.

Huling's criminal history, spanning eleven pages and dating back to his juvenile years, included multiple assault charges, protection order violations, and other offenses. District Attorney George Brauchler expressed outrage, questioning the parole system's effectiveness and stating, "This guy's criminal history and the fact that he appears to have been on parole and this happened seems like we are failing the community."

Two families are now left to cope with immense grief. Mia Corado, while recovering from severe injuries including fractured ribs and fluid in her lungs, recalled the horrific accident and her father's and siblings' deaths.
