Cleo Smith, who was abducted at four years old, is now reportedly thriving nearly five years after her rescue. The young Australian girl, who will soon turn nine, has recently returned from her first international trip to Singapore where she competed in gymnastics.
Her mother shared in a recent interview that Cleo is a happy child who enjoys her hobbies, including swimming and gymnastics. Videos from her competition showed an impressive routine. Cleo was found in November 2021, 18 days after being taken from a campsite near Carnarvon, Western Australia.
The man responsible, Terence Darrell Kelly, pleaded guilty and is serving a lengthy prison sentence. At the time of her rescue, police reported Cleo was physically unharmed and reunited with her family shortly after.
