Jury Deadlocked After 34+ Hours in Clancy Trial

Deliberations in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial have surpassed 34 hours, now entering their sixth day without a verdict. Jurors have informed Plymouth Superior Court Judge William Sullivan twice that they are deadlocked. Clancy faces first-degree murder charges for the strangulation deaths of her three young children in Duxbury on January 24, 2023.

Following this, the judge re-read the definition of reasonable doubt. This follows an earlier "dynamite charge," a last-resort instruction to encourage a verdict, given after the jury first declared themselves deadlocked.
