A man has appeared in court following a critical drive-by shooting that occurred on Christmas Day. The incident left a 20-year-old victim in critical condition with a chest wound.
The shooting took place just before 23:30 GMT on Wilfred Drive in the Darnall area of Sheffield. South Yorkshire Police responded to the incident on the evening of December 25th.
Raheel Mahmood, aged 23, was subsequently charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He appeared at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Saturday and has been remanded into custody. A further hearing is scheduled for Sheffield Crown Court on February 16th.
