Chilli Powder Attack Leads to Rs 2 Lakh Robbery Arrests

Chittorgarh police have arrested three men in connection with a robbery that took place on the night of January 24. The accused, identified as Sunil, Deepak Singh, and Pushkar, all residents of Chittorgarh district, are alleged to have robbed a trader of Rs 2 lakh cash.
The victim, Omprakash, was reportedly returning home on his scooter after closing his shop when the incident occurred. According to police, three unidentified individuals on a motorcycle approached him, threw chilli powder into his eyes, and then fled with his bag containing the cash.
A case was registered at the Kotwali police station, and a special team was formed to investigate. The team examined CCTV footage from the vicinity of the crime scene. This led to the detention of the three suspects, who subsequently confessed to the crime during interrogation and were placed under arrest.
Authorities are currently working to recover the Rs 2 lakh that was looted. The arrests were made on Saturday, approximately a week after the robbery, highlighting a swift police response.
