Summary
- Six Chinese nationals were found in the remote Kalumburu community.
- The men arrived by an unknown vessel, authorities confirmed.
- Border Force boats were deployed to investigate the mysterious arrival.

An investigation is underway into how six Chinese nationals came to be present in the isolated community of Kalumburu, located in the far north of Western Australia. The men were sighted across the township over two days, raising immediate questions given the region's remote accessibility.
An off-duty officer initially encountered two individuals about 12 kilometres north of Kalumburu. A subsequent search located four more men within the community itself the following day. This unexpected discovery has fueled speculation that they may have journeyed inland from the coast.
Australian Border Force deployed three vessels to the area to thoroughly investigate the circumstances. Authorities confirmed the men arrived in Australia via an unidentifiable vessel as part of a group. They were subsequently transported to the Kalumburu Multi-Functional Police Facility for necessary medical evaluations.
