A deadly shooting incident occurred Sunday morning in Chilliwack, British Columbia, leaving one person deceased and another with critical injuries. Local RCMP were dispatched to a residence on Mellard Avenue following reports of a shooting at approximately 8:40 a.m. PT. Upon arrival, first responders discovered two individuals who had sustained gunshot wounds. One victim was declared dead at the scene. The second individual was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Authorities have advised the public to avoid the area as the investigation is underway. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has assumed conduct of the investigation into this fatal event.
