Child Rescued After Daring Kidnapping Chase

Officers swiftly rescued a young child on January 31 following a dangerous pursuit linked to a kidnapping. The incident began after authorities responded to a domestic dispute involving Saul Gutierrez. Police report that Gutierrez abducted a child, issuing threats to harm both himself and the child before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

Responding officers quickly utilized Flock camera technology to locate the suspect's SUV. When Gutierrez refused to yield to police attempts to stop him, officers initiated a rolling roadblock. Despite these efforts, Gutierrez continued to evade capture, demonstrating a clear intent to escape.

Ultimately, officers executed a PIT maneuver, successfully disabling the vehicle and ending the chase. Video footage captured the moment officers apprehended Gutierrez and then immediately attended to the child's welfare. Authorities confirmed the child sustained no injuries and was safely returned to their mother. Gutierrez faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault and kidnapping.
