A young boy, approximately five years old, was found by authorities walking naked in the middle of a road in Pennsylvania. This discovery occurred after the child escaped from a residence characterized by severe "hoarder conditions," with trash and clutter throughout, and hundreds of flies observed.
Troopers responded to reports of the child on Quarry Road and South Lancaster Street and found him being aided by concerned citizens. He was transported for a medical evaluation. Investigators identified a nearby Poplar Street residence as the child's point of escape.
The child's room was particularly disturbing, found to be barricaded from the outside with a baby gate secured by zip ties and duct tape, with additional wood boards installed to prevent escape. Inside, authorities reported feces smeared on walls and a window, a destroyed bed, trash scattered on the floor, and numerous flies.
Three individuals—Jade Shuey, 21, Tucker Heagy, 20, and Stephanie Schaffner, 42—were arrested in connection with the incident. They face felony charges of endangering the welfare of children and are currently held in custody. A preliminary hearing for the suspects is scheduled for Thursday, July 23.
