Chicago Sees 14 Construction Vehicle Burglaries This Month

Chicago police are investigating a series of 14 burglaries that have occurred this month, with all incidents targeting construction and contractor vehicles. The crimes took place during the early morning and morning hours, primarily in the city's Loop, West Loop, and Near South Side neighborhoods.

In each case, two to four individuals reportedly broke into parked, locked cargo or work vans. They then stole construction and contractor tools that were stored inside these vehicles. The pattern of theft has prompted an alert from the Chicago Police Department, urging residents and businesses to be vigilant.

Authorities have provided a general description of the suspects, noting they are believed to be between 17 and 25 years old and were seen wearing black hoodies and pants.
