Killer Who Stalked Cheryl Re-Arrested
16 Jan
Summary
- Convicted killer stalked singer Cheryl Tweedy multiple times.
- He was jailed and received a restraining order.
- Bannister is back in prison for breaching licence conditions.

A convicted killer has been incarcerated for the third time within the past year due to violations of his licence conditions. The individual, identified as Daniel Bannister, aged 51, had previously targeted Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy.
Between January 2024 and December 2024, Bannister trespassed at Tweedy's residence in the Chalfonts area of Buckinghamshire on three separate occasions. He was subsequently sentenced to 16 weeks imprisonment and issued a restraining order by Wycombe Magistrates' Court in March 2025.
However, Bannister's repeated offenses continued. In September 2025, he was returned to prison for a 12-month term after re-offending by visiting Tweedy's home again. The HM Prison and Probation Service has confirmed his most recent return to custody, citing further breaches of his licence conditions.
