Charity Worker Leaks Victim Data to Prisoner
10 Mar
Summary
- Employee shared victim information with inmate.
- Inmate used leaked data for prisoner intimidation.
- The charity previously supported sexual violence survivors.

Lauren Leese, a 30-year-old former employee of the sexual abuse charity Savana, received a suspended sentence for unlawfully accessing and sharing confidential child victim information. She provided this sensitive data to Shane Davis, 36, a prisoner convicted of rape, who then used it to threaten another inmate at HMP Dovegate.
Leese, who worked as an independent sexual violence advisor, obtained the information over a six-month period in 2024. She pleaded guilty to unauthorised access of computer material at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Monday, receiving a 12-month sentence suspended for 18 months. Davis was sentenced concurrently to 12 months.
Detective Inspector Lewis Haigh stated that Leese betrayed her position of trust, failing victims, colleagues, and the public. The charity Savana, which had operated for nearly four decades supporting survivors of sexual violence and abuse, ceased operations in April 2026 due to financial unsustainability.
