Bystander Tackles Airport Suspect in Seconds

A recent surveillance footage release captured a tense event at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport last October. The video shows Fabian Leon, 40, breaching a TSA checkpoint, aggressively shoving an agent and falling over them.
Bystander Mark Thomas reacted instantly, tackling Leon to the ground and subduing him within seconds. Thomas recounted Leon appearing detached and soft-spoken after the incident, repeatedly stating he was okay.
Leon later informed authorities that he had consumed alcohol and drugs before the security breach. Three police officers were also assaulted during the apprehension of Leon, who faced charges including simple battery and avoiding security measures.
