6 Jul
Summary
- A daily wager's body was found near a borewell two days after he went missing.
- Relatives allege his employer electrocuted him for refusing to work.
- Police are investigating both murder and accidental electrocution claims.
In Buxar's Bagen Gola police station area, a protest by villagers and a worker's family over his alleged murder caused significant disruption on Monday. The deceased, identified as 40-year-old Pravesh Musahar, had been missing for two days. His body was later found near a borewell in a village field.
Relatives of Musahar have accused local farmer Manan Chaudhary of electrocuting the daily wager after he allegedly refused to continue working. Based on the victim's wife's statement, an FIR has been registered against Chaudhary. However, police are also exploring the possibility of an accident, suggesting Musahar may have come into contact with a live electric current from the borewell while working.
Investigators suspect Chaudhary may have concealed the body near the borewell for two days out of fear following the incident. The accused farmer has been taken into custody and is currently being questioned as authorities continue to examine all potential angles of the case.
