Rajasthan App Nails Serial Thief

Bhilwara police have arrested Pawan Meena, a 40-year-old serial burglar with 27 previous charges. Meena was identified using the Rajcop app after a clear CCTV image from a recent shop theft was analyzed. The theft at Heera Traders on November 18 involved breaking locks and stealing Rs 2.45 lakh.

Intelligence gathered through the ICJS portal revealed Meena's extensive criminal history, including burglaries and robberies, particularly targeting areas near railway stations. He had been evading authorities for years, with police tracking his movements across Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, and Ajmer railway stations.

Meena was apprehended upon his return to Bhilwara with the intention of committing another crime. The iron rod used for breaking locks was recovered during the investigation. District police are now focused on intensifying action in all outstanding theft cases.
