Airport Brawl: Brothers Accused of Attacking Officer
29 Apr
Summary
- Two brothers are accused of assaulting a police officer.
- The alleged assault occurred at Manchester Airport's car park.
- One defendant claims he feared for his life during the arrest.

A trial is underway for two brothers accused of a violent assault on a police officer at Manchester Airport. Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 21, and Muhammad Amaad, 26, allegedly attacked PC Zachary Marsden at a Terminal 2 car park pay station in July 2024.
Maaaz testified that he believed he was going to die when his head was pushed to the ground during the attempted arrest. He stated he was approached by officers after a report of him headbutting a customer.
Prosecutors contend that Amaaz resisted arrest, and his brother then became involved. Both men are charged with unlawfully using a high level of violence against PC Marsden and other officers, a charge they deny.
