Alisa Goods, a 63-year-old grandmother from Brooklyn, was found deceased near Terminal 1 at Harry Reid International Airport on Thursday, August 21. Goods had been visiting a friend in Las Vegas and was last seen on August 8, heading to a local CVS. Her disappearance caused significant distress to her family, especially as her disconnected cell phone began sending messages seeking money, including Bitcoin, shortly after she went missing.
Surveillance footage from the day Goods disappeared reportedly showed a woman matching her description near the airport that same afternoon. Police responded to the airport around 1:45 a.m. after a body was discovered. Her family, who described her as having recently undergone leg surgeries making extensive travel difficult, are now awaiting details surrounding her cause of death. Her friend of 20 years, Roger John, who assisted in the search, is not considered a suspect.
