A British woman has been discovered deceased aboard a luxurious superyacht docked in Palma, Majorca. The woman, identified as a crew member assisting with maintenance, was found in her cabin on Sunday evening after failing to respond to messages.
Paramedics were called to the £27 million vessel but were unable to save her life. Civil Guard investigators are now awaiting autopsy results to ascertain the cause of death. Initial examinations revealed no obvious signs of violence.
The superyacht, named Lind, is a 170ft vessel flagged in the Cayman Islands. It reportedly costs nearly £300,000 per week to charter during peak season and features amenities like an open-air cinema and jacuzzi.
The yacht's owner is understood to be German billionaire Peter Alexander Wacker, co-owner of Wacker Chemie AG. This incident follows a similar tragedy last May where another British woman died in Palma after a significant fall.
