British Influencer Accused of Drugging Husband for Insurance

A British influencer, known for her large social media following, was apprehended in Majorca on suspicion of poisoning her husband. The 45-year-old author allegedly attempted to drug her businessman partner, Victor, by administering sedatives in his wine earlier this year on January 10. Victor reported the incident to the police after being hospitalized for three days and discovering tranquilisers in his system.

According to Victor's statement to police, his wife pressured him to take out life insurance policies. Authorities detained the influencer on Wednesday, and she was pictured being escorted into a courthouse in Palma on Thursday. A judge subsequently released her with a restraining order, which typically prohibits contact and proximity to the alleged victim.

The influencer, who is a Spanish national with British parentage, is also a respected English teacher and author who has appeared on Spanish talk shows. She previously created a documentary about Majorca's authentic culture. Her arrest occurred months after she posted a public anniversary message celebrating her marriage to Victor. The couple shares a young son, and police investigations are ongoing.
