Bridgerton Star Fears for Life After Brutal London Attacks
28 Jan
Summary
- Actress fears for safety upon mugger's release next year.
- She felt safer in India than in the UK or America recently.
- Multiple assaults occurred within a nine-month period in London.

A Bridgerton actress has voiced serious concerns about women's safety in the UK following a series of violent encounters over the past year. Genevieve Chenneour, 28, was targeted by a serial thief in February 2025 during a phone-snatching incident at Joe & the Juice in Kensington. The offender, Zacariah Boulares, described as a 'sociopath' by his mother and with a history of violent crime including threatening a man with a machete, was sentenced to 22 months.
Boulares could be released as early as May 2027. Chenneour recounted another assault in November 2025 outside Oxford Circus, which she categorizes as an 'incel' attack, and a separate incident in Los Angeles where a man exposed himself during a photoshoot.
These experiences have led Chenneour to feel less safe in London and the United States than she did on a recent trip to India. After living in London for eight years, she has relocated due to a loss of trust in the police's ability to protect her.
