However, authorities have deemed the death suspicious and are investigating dos Santos for femicide. Security footage reportedly shows him punching da Silva and attempting to grab her neck in an elevator shortly before her fall. Dos Santos was taken into custody on a temporary warrant.
Da Silva, who amassed a significant following on TikTok and Instagram for her lifestyle content, was from Ceara and had moved to Sao Paulo. Her aunt expressed outrage, describing dos Santos as 'possessive' and demanding justice.
