Eva Geller, a 90-year-old woman who was shot during the Bondi Beach attack in December of last year, has passed away. She died in a Sydney hospital, nearly one year after the tragic event that claimed fifteen lives, including a ten-year-old girl. Geller, who had escaped the Holocaust as a child, was described by Rabbi Aron Moss as remaining "positive, loving, and strong throughout her life, right until the end."
Her recovery from the attack was remarkable. "She was told she will never walk again but miraculously and with incredible determination she did walk again," Rabbi Moss stated. Geller had even attended synagogue services during the recent High Holidays, showing immense strength. The New South Wales police are aware of her death and are awaiting further advice from the Coroner's office.
