Bokaro police apprehended a 26-year-old suspect on Tuesday, leading to a breakthrough in the February 22 murder case near Bokaro railway station. The victim, identified as Sachin Yadav, was fatally shot around 7 pm on the evening of February 22.
He was immediately transported to Bokaro General Hospital for medical attention. Tragically, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival. A case was subsequently registered at the rail police station based on a complaint filed by the victim's younger brother, Mithilesh Kumar.
The arrested individual, Balram Kumar alias Bholu Vishwakarma, confessed to the killing during interrogation. He revealed that the murder was a result of an argument stemming from a prior assault on his brother-in-law, Dhananjay Karmakar.
