Dance floor dispute turns deadly in Bihar wedding

Tragedy struck a wedding ceremony in Nalanda district, Bihar, on Wednesday night when a dispute over dancing escalated into a fatal assault. The victim, identified as 49-year-old Upendra Manjhi, was allegedly beaten to death with sticks and an axe following an altercation.
The incident reportedly began when Upendra accidentally touched the daughter-in-law of one of the accused while dancing to DJ music. A heated exchange ensued, and though Upendra returned home, he was allegedly followed by the accused and others. They dragged him out and attacked him, causing severe head injuries.
According to police reports, the attackers pursued Upendra as he attempted to escape towards a nearby river, ultimately killing him with repeated blows. On Thursday, police acted swiftly, arresting the main accused, his three sons, and another minor. The situation in the village is reported to be under control, and further investigations are ongoing to apprehend additional suspects.
