The accused, Manu Pujhar, reportedly demanded funds from his wife to purchase liquor. When she refused, a quarrel ensued. The situation escalated when the victim, Waqil Pujhar, intervened to protect his daughter, leading to the fatal stabbing.
Police stated that a Rs 50,000 loan recently taken by Manu's wife for home construction may have exacerbated the dispute. Authorities collected evidence from the scene, and the accused has been remanded to judicial custody. Investigations are ongoing.
