Bhuj Man Held: Fake Currency Videos, Gun Found

In a significant operation, the Kutch West Special Operations Group apprehended a 27-year-old man in Bhuj on Sunday. The accused, Aftab alias Altaf Khatki, was found with incriminating videos of counterfeit currency and a fake Instagram profile on his mobile phone, which has been sent for forensic analysis.
During the interrogation, police discovered a significant haul at his residence. Recovered items include marijuana worth Rs 33,450, a locally made single-barrel gun, three spent cartridges, a knife, an axe, and toy currency notes in various denominations. He allegedly confessed to illegal marijuana sales and firearm procurement.
Investigations are now focused on determining the motive behind the fake profile, exploring connections to other criminal activities, and tracing the circulation of counterfeit currency content. An FIR has been lodged against the accused and two others.
