Mastermind Used Acquaintance for Bengaluru Heist

In Bengaluru, a 59-year-old woman was assaulted and robbed of her 40-gram gold mangalya chain by two men posing as potential renters. The crime occurred on the evening of August 5th at her residence in Konadasapura, East Bengaluru. Avalahalli police have since apprehended three individuals in connection with the incident.

The operation was masterminded by an acquaintance named Bharath, who had placed the victim under surveillance for approximately two weeks. Bharath arranged the meeting by telling the woman that two friends were seeking a rental property. After initial subtle inquiries, two men visited her home on August 5th, presenting themselves as Bharath's friends.

Inside the house, the men feigned interest in renting the adjacent vacant property. They proceeded to assault the woman when she objected to their actions and ultimately stole her gold mangalya chain before fleeing on a motorcycle. Police investigations, aided by information about Bharath's family connections, led to the swift capture of all three accused.
