Family's Forced Return Bid Sparks Mob Violence

On Magadi Road, a chaotic scene unfolded Wednesday night as a group of men were violently attacked by a crowd, their car also damaged, amid suspicions of a kidnapping attempt. The situation took a turn when the young woman involved intervened, clarifying that the men were her family members, including her father, who had traveled to bring her back to Rajasthan. She informed the police that her family disapproved of her inter-caste marriage. The couple had recently relocated to Bengaluru, but her family had located them and insisted on their return. The incident resulted in injuries to six individuals, including a nine-year-old, with one woman requiring intensive care due to serious head injuries. The family's vehicle sustained substantial damage during the altercation and their alleged attempt to flee.
