In Bengaluru, a chilling incident unfolded when a 30-year-old man, identified as Srinivas, surrendered to the Bannerghatta Police Station. He confessed to murdering his brother-in-law, Ranjith, aged 24, over suspicions of an illicit relationship.
Srinivas, a dog kennel owner, reportedly believed Ranjith was involved with his younger sister, who is already married. Tensions had been escalating between the two men.
Authorities stated that Srinivas lured Ranjith to a location near Bannerghatta under the guise of resolving the dispute. During their meeting, Srinivas allegedly attacked Ranjith with a metal rod, inflicting a fatal head injury.
Following the murder, Srinivas placed Ranjith's body in his car and drove directly to the police station to confess and surrender. He is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
