Rakshith, a resident of Balagaranahalli village, was dining at a roadside stall with friends when a group armed with weapons arrived. The assailants, believed to be part of a gang rivalry between Manjunath alias 'Villain' and Shiva, targeted Rakshith. They did not confirm his identity before launching a brutal assault, causing severe injuries to his head, hands, and legs.
Police have registered an attempt-to-murder case and are actively seeking the accused, identified as Manjunath and his associates. Some of the attackers have previous criminal records, though none are officially listed as rowdy-sheeters. The victim's family is appealing for justice, hoping for his survival and stringent punishment for those responsible.
