A drug dealer's escape attempt was thwarted by drone footage during a police raid in Basildon on June 30. The 20-year-old suspect was seen on camera fleeing into the garden as officers breached the front door of the house.
His flight was short-lived, as he was apprehended by law enforcement at the rear gate. At the time of his arrest, officers discovered him in possession of more than £1,400 in cash and several wraps of Class A drugs.
Subsequently, the individual entered a plea of guilty to charges including possession with intent to supply cocaine and heroin, as well as possessing criminal property. He received a two-year suspended prison sentence and was mandated to undertake unpaid work.
